Seeking Taekwondo Instructors for “Empowering Women Through Self-Defense” program
Dear Members and Supporters,
NSW Taekwondo is seeking Expressions of Interest from accredited female Taekwondo instructors to deliver the “Empowering Women Through Self-Defense” program, proudly supported by the NSW Office of Sport through grant funding.
The NSW Taekwondo Board is seeking to appoint two trainers to deliver the program. Successful applicants will receive compensation of $1,395 per trainer. The successful trainers will also be able to promote membership to their own clubs.
The program will involve the delivery of 2-hour sessions each week over a 8-week period to females from diverse cultural and community backgrounds. The location will be the National Sports Club, 577 Punchbowl Road, Lakemba 2195. The program will commence on 27th June and conclude on 15th August.
Applicants must:
Be female
Hold current Taekwondo trainer accreditation
Demonstrate strong communication and engagement skills
Be capable of delivering inclusive and engaging sessions
Be passionate about empowering women through self-defense and personal development
As part of the application process, instructors are required to submit:
A short video presentation (maximum 2 minutes) outlining:
Their experience
Their coaching and communication style
How they would deliver an engaging 8-week program to females from different backgrounds (the program will be created by the NSW Board and trainers will have flexibility in the delivery of the program)
A copy of their current Taekwondo accreditation must also be attached with their submission
All video submissions, Expressions of Interest, and accreditation documents must be submitted to NSW Taekwondo CEO Shazia Mia at shaziamianswtkd@gmail.com
Submission deadline: Sunday, 14th June 2026 at 5pm
The NSW Taekwondo Board will provide guidance and support throughout the execution of the program.
